At fedaEDU German Business School in Barcelona, students who do not speak German can still study a Bachelor of Arts in International Business, which is fully taught in English.
To join the program, a minimum English level of B2 is required. While prior knowledge of German is not mandatory, an A1 level is recommended and can be acquired quickly before or during the program.

The Bachelor of Arts in International Business is a 3.5-year program that includes intensive German language training. No prior German knowledge is required to start the program, although an A1 level is recommended.
Throughout their studies in Barcelona, students learn about the German economic system and the culture of German-speaking countries, preparing them for careers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In the fifth semester, students can complete a practical or academic semester in Germany, gaining valuable international experience.
Upon graduation, students receive an official German university degree (in accordance with the Bologna Process), which qualifies them for master’s studies and enhances their international career opportunities in global business environments.
At fedaEDU German Business School in Barcelona, the Bachelor of Arts in International Business is distinguished by its strong international focus, specifically designed to prepare students for a global business environment. This program consists of 210 ECTS credits, while a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (ADE) typically includes 240 ECTS credits.
Despite this difference in credit load, both qualifications are equivalent under the Bologna Process and are fully recognized across Europe. Graduates of both programs are eligible to pursue master’s degrees at any European university, ensuring full academic mobility and international career opportunities in global business and management.
2. Dual vocational training

- In the dual vocational training program for Industrial Management Assistant, students receive comprehensive training that prepares them to perform successfully in large companies.
- In the dual vocational program for Freight Forwarding and Logistics Service Clerk, students learn about warehousing and transport logistics, as well as import and export processes.

The duration of vocational training depends on the student’s previous academic qualification:
- Students with a qualification that grants general access to higher education (Allgemeine Hochschulreife / high school diploma) or a university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) complete vocational training in two years.
- Students holding a lower secondary school certificate (Mittlere Reife / compulsory secondary education certificate – E.S.O.) must first complete a preparatory bridging course (10+1) before starting vocational training. After completing this foundation year, the vocational training program also lasts two years.

In general, partner companies show a strong interest in hiring their trainees after completing vocational training, as they have invested significant resources in their professional development. At fedaEDU, the student retention rate is approximately 85%, which is a remarkable figure in the Spanish labor market.
However, employment cannot be guaranteed, as it depends on each company’s specific needs and the individual performance of the student.
The practical part of the dual vocational training takes place in companies located in the metropolitan area of Barcelona and surrounding areas, offering students a convenient, accessible, and professional learning environment close to the city.
- General higher education entrance qualification (Allgemeine Hochschulreife / Bachillerato), university of applied sciences entrance qualification, or an equivalent recognized access qualification, or

- Lower secondary school certificate (Mittlere Reife / E.S.O.) + successful completion of the Bridging Course (10+1)
- German level: B1; Spanish level: B1; English level: B1

If a candidate is preselected by fedaEDU, their documents are sent to partner companies for vocational training. Final acceptance depends on whether one of these companies confirms the candidate’s placement.
It is important to note that without a confirmed training position in a partner company, admission to fedaEDU cannot be formalized.
Students enrolled in the Dual Vocational Training program receive a monthly training allowance directly from the partner companies. The amount varies depending on the company, but the minimum remuneration is €300 net per month.
3. University Degree Program with Integrated Dual Vocational Training
The combined university degree with integrated Dual Vocational Training at fedaEDU German Business School combines a Bachelor in International Business with a Dual Vocational Training program in Barcelona.
Students simultaneously earn an internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree and a professional vocational qualification in areas such as Industrial Management Assistant, Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk, or Digitalization Management Specialist.
This dual study program in Spain allows students to combine academic studies and hands-on professional experience, developing strong business and practical skills for an international career.
The program has a total duration of 4 years. During the first two years, university studies and Dual Vocational Training are completed in parallel and in an integrated format.
After these initial two years, students obtain their vocational qualification, allowing them to focus fully on their university studies during the third and fourth years, thereby completing their degree with a strong academic and professional profile.
Admission Requirements
- University entrance qualification, such as Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, Spanish Bachillerato + university entrance exam (PAU), or other equivalent qualifications.
- English level B2, certified by TOEFL, CAE, TOEIC, IELTS, OTE, or a qualification from an English-speaking school or university. [More information here]

Additional requirement:
- A confirmed vocational training placement with a partner company.

If a candidate is preselected by fedaEDU, their application documents are forwarded to partner companies for Dual Vocational Training placement. Admission to the integrated university degree with Dual Vocational Training depends on whether one of these companies confirms the candidate’s training placement.
If a placement in a partner company is not obtained, the student may still begin the university degree program, but without the integrated Dual Vocational Training component.
4. Bachelor in International Business
Starting in September 2026, fedaEDU will collaborate with Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Heilbronn) in Germany, one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg, with approximately 7,200 students.
Language development is a core component of the program, enabling students to significantly improve their language skills based on their starting level.
In the German Track at fedaEDU German Business School, students can reach a B2 level of German even with no prior knowledge, and up to a C1 level of German when starting with a B1 level. In addition, students achieve a C1 level of English, preparing them for international academic and professional careers.
Yes. From the fourth semester onwards, students choose a Major and a Minor.
At fedaEDU German Business School, the areas of specialization are Finance and Marketing. This means that students who choose Finance as their Major automatically take Marketing as their Minor, and vice versa.
This structure allows students to develop a clear specialization while also gaining complementary knowledge in a second key area of business.
In the fifth semester of the bachelor’s degree, students are required to complete either an internship semester or a study abroad semester.
During this period, students can gain professional experience in an international company—such as the same company where they completed their vocational training—or study at a university abroad.
For students not enrolled in the Dual Vocational Training track, it is particularly recommended to complete an internship in a German-speaking country in order to gain first-hand experience of the local job market and acquire valuable international professional experience.

5. Bridging course (10+1)
The 10+1 Bridging Course at fedaEDU German Business School is designed for students who have completed lower secondary education (Realschulabschluss / Mittlere Reife or E.S.O.) and wish to access Dual Vocational Training in Spain.
After successfully completing the 10+1 Bridging Course, students are fully prepared to begin their vocational training program at fedaEDU, combining academic preparation with practical business skills for international careers.
To access the program, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Completed secondary education, such as Realschulabschluss / Mittlere Reife or E.S.O.
- B1 level in German, Spanish, and English
6. Fachhochschulreife
The Fachhochschulreife (FHR) is a German university entrance qualification that allows students to study at a University of Applied Sciences (Fachhochschule) in Germany and also to begin studies at fedaEDU German Business School.
